This topic provides an overview of how to search for videos, playlists and uploads using the Media area of DME. You will also learn how to filter search results.
Each section of the Media module provides a Search Field that can be used to find videos, playlists or uploads depending on which section of DME Media you are in.
All search results are exact matches to the word or number you are searching for. Partial-word searches are not supported.
As a point of clarification, the term "videos" specifically pertains to videos published by Inform partners. You can search for these videos in both the Videos and Top Picks sections. These videos are available for you to embed on your site as an Inform Publisher.
To search for videos, enter a search term in the Search Field. By default, the search will be performed across Video ID, Video Title and Video Descriptions.
By clicking on the dropdown within the Search Field, you can refine the search by Video ID, Video Title or Video Descriptions.
You can search for playlists by entering the search term in the Search Field of the Playlists section. This search is only limited to the title of the playlist.
Uploads are the videos you or other members of your organization have uploaded to your Inform account. You have full control over these videos and can choose to modify, remove or make private at any time.
You can search for your uploaded videos by entering the search term in the Search Field of the Uploads section. Uploads can be searched by video title, description, keywords, category, Video ID or Partner ID.
